Time For Change - Coalition Against Hunting

I'm pleased to be representing Badger Trust next Thursday at the official launch of a coalition of organisations working towards a future where hunting with dogs in the UK is properly outlawed.

The Trust is part of this coalition, being led by the League Against Cruel Sports, because sett interference is the most recorded crime against badgers in the UK and sett-blocking by hunts is the primary cause on an annual basis. Which is odd, when they purport to be hunting an inanimate scent trail that doesn't need to seek refuge underground.

If you know me, you know why I'm particularly happy to support this coalition on a personal level as well. I deplore all forms of hunting for "sport" whether there's an impact on badgers or not. There's always an impact on horses, hounds, wildlife, livestock and domestic animals.
