Property and Land Development

Badger setts and territories often come under pressure from local planning developments despite their protected status.

By being able to evidence the existence of local badgers, setts or confirmed badger activity we can work with local authorities to ensure development plans mitigates any adverse impact on badgers. This evidence means that both local authorities and property developers are able to operate within the requirements of the law whilst acting empathetically towards these beautiful animals.

We work alongside and liaise with other animal welfare and environmental conservation groups on these issues and other local authority related issues. We do not currently share our sett data with anybody outside the Group apart from local councils and then only on the strict understanding that information including badger or sett locations does not find its way into the public domain.
