Cubs Update

I promised an update on the re-homing of the badger cubs, well here is the latest:

Wafer, Biscuit, Abernethy, Biscoff, Rich Tea, Shortcake and Cracker as they have been named by the wildlife hospital,, are arriving tomorrow afternoon to be put into their new home.

Yesterday we set up the perimeter electric fences that should keep them in till they have settled in. The fence will be in place for 2 weeks.

Provisions have been bought, so far we have 17x12kg bags of dog biscuits and 456 cans of wet dog food. This might last them only a couple of months!

Bales of straw are ready for extra bedding if they want it.

This is a new adventure for us and we are excited to see the cubs explore their new home. Hopefully we have made a good job of it.

Here are some recent photos of them, we have no idea who is who. What we do know is that one of them is somewhat 'chunky' weighing in around 14.5kg - not bad considering it is only 9 months old.

More updates to follow over the next few weeks.
