End The Cull Demo Update

Plans are progressing for this vital and timely opportunity to call for an immediate end to the culling of badgers and to engage with a new cohort of MPs in parliament.

We are urging all badger groups to share these event details with their members and supporters to ensure there are good numbers at this event.

The Demonstration

• 11 am to 1.30 pm: supporters gather in Parliament Square for a peaceful demonstration against the badger cull. We have a host of inspirational speakers who will be there supporting our call to end the cull. 

The Lobby of Parliament

• 1.30 pm: supporters will walk over to enter Parliament for a mass lobby of MPs and call for an immediate end to the ineffective and unethical cull. 

What is a lobby of parliament? 

Anyone can lobby their MP and in this case, we will be lobbying in a group. On entering the building, you will complete a form stating your details and who you're MP is. They, or a representative from their office, will then be called down to meet you in Central Lobby. It is for this reason that the demonstration is on a weekday and at the beginning of September when MPs have returned to office. 

In advance of the lobby, you can contact your MP to let them know you will be visiting and intend to speak to them on 3rd September.
