Please slow down and think about wildlife.

An unexpectedly busy wildlife rescue morning today. Lauren retrieved a fledgling woodpigeon found struggling by a neighbour and we were contacted via the website by a chap in Farnham who found an injured badger on his doorstep at 7 am.

Really sad to report the Badger was a road collision victim with a shattered vertebra and fractured pelvis. A young male who was put to sleep peacefully and with care at Hart Wildlife Hospital. A beautiful soul who deserved better. It was a privilege to share his last journey with him.

My thanks to James for reaching out to us and to Paul and the team at Hart Wildlife for their professionalism, kindness and help.

And the pigeon? The prognosis looks good. Fingers crossed
