Hampshire Badger Rescue Team

I posted this on our private Facebook page last night and know that not everyone "enjoys" that site so thought I'd add it here as well. Give me a shout if you're interested.

We're about to embark on some virtual and in-person training, deploy equipment and begin to advertise this as a "service" on our website.

If you'd like to become involved in this work, and you're a paid-up Group Member, please get in touch with me. Currently we have 11 good folk who have expressed an interest. They're based in the Fleet, Hook, Alresford, Southampton, Gosport and New Forest areas and we'd love to add to their number and create local rescue units.

We'll be attending injured, poorly and trapped badgers on an ad hoc, emergency basis where availability and logistics allow us to help. The "service" will extend only to securing the animal and transporting it to a suitable facility for treatment/euthanasia. In an ideal world, we'd also be involved in any releases back into the wild following convalescence and rehabilitation.

If you're interested, or even think you might be, please let me know. Thank you!
